Day 5: Communication and Cooperation with Parents

  • On the fifth and last day of our training, information was given about the importance of parents' participation in the special education process, the forms of this participation and the points to be considered when communicating with them.

  • It was stated that parental participation is a very important factor, and it was stated that they should be communicated with various technological opportunities, even if not face-to-face, and the features of the language to be used in this communication were mentioned.

  • The training we attended continued interactively with the participation of the trainees throughout the entire process. From time to time, the subjects were exemplified with the videos prepared by the trainer, visualized and enriched with lived stories.

  • By expressing opinions on these examples, ideas were exchanged about special education approaches of different countries and information was gained.

  • The course ended successfully with the mutual good wishes of the trainees and the trainer and the wishes of meeting again.
