Day 1: Introduction to Special Education

• What are the aims of special education?

• Who are the individuals who need special education?

  Intellectual disability, sensory disorders, physical (motor) disorders, ADHD, ASD.

• Individuals with specific learning difficulties

       Dyslexia , dyscalculia , dysgraphia .

   

• The first day of our course started with the meeting of the Romanian team and us, the Turkish team, who attended the course with the trainer. Afterwards, information was given about the aims and scope of special education and the opinions of the trainees were taken.

• Definitions of disability types of individuals in need of special education were made and information was given about what kind of education these individuals need.
